Multiple Effect Evaporation

m With the advent of rapid urbanization and industrialization, water has now become an indicator of environmental sustainability. The increase in salinity of the surface and sub-surface water and the shrinking portable water reserve, is threatening the biodiversity of our environment and endangering the future prospects of economic development through industrial sustainability.
The increased demand of good quality water for process and utility uses and poor supply from falling ground water table , had induced the industries to recover water from waste water through membrane separation and evaporation methods .An economical, reliable and simple technology has become the need of the hour for treating the high TDS containing effluents from R.O.plants and process effluents. Such technology would not only prevent the contamination of our ground water quality but also reduce the intake of fresh water and save our reserves from depletion .
This topic introduces the application of conventional multiple effect evaporation method for treating high TDS effluents simultaneously recovering the water from the waste.
